Delicious frozen yogurt contains beneficial probiotics from homemade yogurt, as well as fresh raspberries and real vanilla. This is a favorite summertime activity and dessert! The leftovers aren't nearly as good as fresh, so try to make this recipe when you have company over to help you eat the frozen yogurt goodness!
Leftovers are not as good as eating homemade frozen yogurt fresh. If needed, store extra ice cream in a Pyrex or plastic storage container with a lid, in the fridge. Allow to sit out to soften for 10-15 minutes prior to scooping out of the container. Homemade ice cream does not contain the gums or additives (antifreeze!) that keep it from freezing solid.
Other options for leftover frozen yogurt: Freeze in popsicle molds! This is a great solution to the too-hard ice cream. For adults who consume alcohol, 1 ounce vodka or whiskey can be stirred into the leftover frozen yogurt. The alcohol won't freeze in the freezer, and it will preserve the soft consistency of frozen yogurt.
